Lime Venue Portfolio’s Jo Austin becomes latest Fast Forward 15 mentor

Jo Austin, Head of Sales for Lime Venue Portfolio
Fast Forward 15 has announced that Jo Austin, Head of Sales for Lime Venue Portfolio, is the latest mentor to be appointed to the initiative. The scheme, designed to nurture, develop and inspire the sector’s most promising talent, was launched in January 2015 and has already generated a large amount of interest across the hospitality sector.

Jo is an industry professional with a contagious zeal, ensuring that the customer is central to Lime Venue’s philosophy. Cutting her teeth at Selfridges, before moving on to Estée Lauder and then taking some time out to have two daughters, she moved on to the hotel and meetings and events business. Joining Lime Venue Portfolio in 2011 she set about building the company into the venue supplier of choice for meeting and event organisers who are looking for unusual and unique venues throughout the UK.

Commenting on the appointment, Austin said: “It’s a great privilege to be invited to join such a prestigious and exciting scheme in the company of some really industry big hitters. I look forward to working with my mentee over the coming year to achieve some great results and help them grow and develop as a professional.”

Those interested in finding out more about Fast Forward 15 have the opportunity to attend a special panel discussion, ‘Paying it Forward… Fast Forward 15’, hosted by the initiative’s founder, Fay Sharpe (Zibrant), at 1:00pm on Wednesday 18th February in the Keynote Theatre.

The session will give visitors the opportunity to interact with some of the programme’s mentors (including Ritz-Carlton’s Louise Bang and entrepreneurial consultant Jason Scott), discover why Fast Forward 15 was launched, and what it offers to hospitality’s most talented women.

A dedicated Fast Forward 15 Womens’ Network Forum has also been launched on LinkedIn to foster discussion between mentors and mentees and establish relationships between interested parties. The group is open to all LinkedIn users and can be joined by visiting the Forum page.

Fast Forward 15 is still open to applications and closes at 5:00pm on 27th February 2015.
