Cloud based Business Intelligence and Reporting application developed in-house by Hillgate Travel to provide complete data insight and a new way of workingHillgate Travel, the UK’s largest truly independent travel management company (TMC) and the lead UK partner in GlobalStar Travel Management, celebrated the launch of their new Business Intelligence and Reporting application, MiWay Analytics, at the Dorchester Hotel in central London last night.
At a prestigious event attended by over 100 customers, staff and industry figures, a full live demonstration of MiWay Analytics was provided. It was also announced by Anthony Rissbrook, Hillgate Travel’s Managing Director, that all of Hillgate Travel’s new and existing customers will receive complimentary access to the application as part of Hillgate’s standard service proposition, a move which goes against the industry norm of charging for such systems and insight.
MiWay Analytics is a fully secure cloud based Business Intelligence and Reporting application. Developed in-house by Hillgate Travel, in conjunction with a customer development group, the application provides users with access to a vast number of pre-trip and post-trip dashboard visualisations, covering all travel purchasing categories. Within the dashboards users can drill-down to the raw data-set, from where they then have the ability to manipulate the data to create, save and schedule their own reports and visualisations.
MiWay Analytics also provides users with access to a wide range of traditional canned reports and all data can be exported in a range of formats. The application will also be available to Hillgate Travel’s global customers as users have the ability to select to report in any of the 7 major global currencies with all currency conversions calculated against a date of invoice exchange rate.
Antoine Boatwright, Chief Technology Officer of Hillgate Travel comments: “MiWay Analytics has been developed to provide our customers with a new way of working. Although most companies now have access to their travel data a problem I often hear is that their TMC is actually bombarding them with too much basic information and they are left scratching their head whilst they try to make sense it all! MiWay Analytics counters this issue. The powerful visualisations that are presented in MiWay Analytics allow users to immediately identify any key programme trends and the drill-down capability allows them to easily interrogate and re-purpose the raw data.”
Boatwright adds; “One of our customers has already commented that they plan to use MiWay Analytics in their monthly internal travel meetings. Historically they have used a series of PowerPoint slides, but they always left the meeting with unanswered questions. MiWay Analytics provides an interactive platform that they can now use to immediately obtain information and to support decision making whilst at their meeting - A new way of working!”
