National Events Months October (#NEMO) launches Exhibition and Experiential Week

Campaign celebrates £11bn events industry sector

National Events Month is proud to announce its Exhibitions and Experiential week. Exhibition and experiential events have a value of £11 billion in Britain’s event sector, and account for over £100bn worth of products sold over the course of the year.

The exhibition sector in the UK also offers businesses a strong base for international trade and export, whilst the UK industry attracts over 13 million visitors a year across both consumer and business to business shows.

National Event’s Month understands the benefits of exhibitions and experiential events to not only Britain’s economy, but to its population as well. As a result, #NEMO is promoting the event sector through an exhibitions and experiential themed event week.

The campaign will showcase some of the amazing exhibitions that take place every day across the UK, including the IP EXPO Europe, at ExCeL London and The Showman Show, at Newbury Showground. IP EXPO Europe is supporting National Events Month with an exciting agenda including a keynote delivered by Sir Tim Berners-Lee, inventor of the World Wide Web. Meanwhile the Showman’s Show represents the outdoor and special event industry, with over 340 exhibitors and 4,500 event professionals expected to attend.

National Events Month is a celebration of how GREAT Britain’s event industry is, as part of the annual Britain for Events campaign. The promotional month will consist of four event weeks, including the exhibitions and experiential week.
