Mammoth Events reports 82% profit rise

In it’s second year of trading Mammoth Events has seen sales increase by 91% to £561k, with profits rising by 82% to over £68k for the financial year to 1st August 2014.
The Manchester based agency has retained business from clients such as Lyreco, National Union of Teachers, Fragrance Foundation and BAE Systems, as well as new business wins including the International Wine & Spirit Competition, UPM and the Institute of Directors.

Managing Director George Thompson stated: “For a start up agency to have billed more than £1 million in its first 2 years of trading is quite remarkable. With no office or full time staff, aside from the two directors, our model is quite unique & we’re pretty sure there were people who thought it couldn’t be done, but we’d seen the same model enjoy success in other industries so we had tremendous confidence.”

Client Services Director Amanda Gilmour added: “Our business runs in a 2 year cycle & the vast majority of our key events have already been secured for year 3, including some multi year deals. Over the last 2 years our clients have consistently reported considerable increases in quality across all aspects of their events and we’re so delighted to be working with them again.”
