Mexia Communications launches Big Venue Guide to Social Media 101 during Social Media Week

Specialist meetings sector PR and content marketing agency Mexia Communications today announces the launch of its Big Venue Guide to Social Media – 101.  The announcement comes as Social Media Week is under way with numerous events and activities across the world. The guide, a 23 page e-book, aims to provide a quick reference overview of the main platforms that can be used by conference and events venues to engage audiences, build brand profile and generate business opportunities.

It includes summary features, pros and cons and top tips for venues on each platform and is intended for those embarking on a social media strategy targeting predominantly business-to-business (B2B) clients.

Kursha Woodgate, Mexia Communications Managing Director, says: “We have been working on social media strategies and content programmes for venues for a number of years and wanted to leverage that experience to pull together a reference guide that would be easy to read and help get venue marketers up and running with an effective social media programme. Social media has become a fundamental element in the communications mix for venues now and it is a fast-paced medium which can be hard to keep on top of. Our aim is to provide a good starting point to help venues on their way.”

The guide includes major platforms such as Twitter, Facebook and LinkedIn in addition to covering Google+, SlideShare, Vine and more. It provides key statistics and summary profiles of each platform and considers the benefits of each tool from a venue conference marketing perspective throughout.

The Big Venue Guide to Social Media – 101 is available to verified venue marketing executives and managers free of charge and may be requested by calling 0845 305 8118. Mexia will also be hosting a breakfast briefing on social media and content marketing for venues in central London in early December.  Venues interested in attending can register for more information by contacting Mexia Communications.
