Prague met AIJA: the perfect match between the young and young at heart

Within the last days of August, Prague became the playground of the 52nd AIJA Congress. The International Association of Young Lawyers gathered between 26-30 August, in order to discuss the current issues of their industry with some of the best speakers in the field. But they also planned to do that in the most active manner possible. AIJA teamed up with AIM Group Prague Office in order to extract the best off of Prague, but also that, which suited well with their needs.

AIJA is the only global association devoted to lawyers and in-house counsel aged 45 and under. Through a wide range of meetings, seminars, law courses and advocacy, AIJA promotes professional cooperation and friendship among young career-building legal professionals on an international stage.

With an average age range of 35, these young and motivated professionals gathered over the annual AIJA congress in order to get stimulated and inspired, to meet, network, and learn from their peers’ experiences. These objectives wouldn’t be achieved without having SMART goals (Specific, Measureable, Achievable, Relevant and Time-bound) of how to achieve these objectives, and without a clear knowledge of the host destination. AIJA teamed up with AIM Prague Office, in order to get the needed expert knowledge on the destination from the DMC division - a young and dynamic team themselves. Roman Muska, Country Manager of Prague Office, shared: “My team tailored a program to inspire! It is what Prague does best! When people are young and energetic, this is really the best place to be.” The reason is simple – Prague is a diverse city, with old traditions and yet modern flavour, with the beautiful river of Vltava, colourful and fun.

The Prague Team took a close look at what AIJA aligned as goals and objectives, and tailored a program to satisfy these. AIM Prague Team showed understanding over accommodating every need of the young delegate – from offering active events, as the football match organized for them, to presenting the art and culture of its destination through the social events held in the Municipal House and in Charles University. The program intertwined activities at unique venues, as St. Agnes Monastery, making an introduction over the history of the city. Further, a day spent at the Krivoklat Castle, presented the vast cultural heritage of Czech Republic. This successful collaboration underlined the importance of matching the destination with the event – as well as the client with a suitable partner.
