Travel Counsellors launch sub-brand for Business Travel

Travel Counsellors have announced the launch of a new sub-brand dedicated to supporting the company’s corporate travel agents and building its business travel team.
‘Travel Counsellors for Business’ has been developed as a result of the company’s continued corporate travel growth, with this now one of the fastest growing parts of the business and representing 25% of the its global turnover. The development includes the launch of a new website for its Business Travel Counsellors, as well as a host of new marketing materials that reflect the ‘Travel Counsellors for Business’ brand.


“We are seeing more and more business travellers recognising the value in the highly personal service our Travel Counsellors can provide,” comments Managing Director Steve Byrne. “We believe our highly relational business model is perfectly placed in the corporate travel market and is why we have seen a 15% increase in our global corporate travel business over the past 12 months. So we created ‘Travel Counsellors for Business’ to demonstrate our commitment to the corporate travel market, to grow our brand presence and increase customer recognition of the unrivalled concierge-style service we provide.”  

The launch of the new sub-brand and website marks a significant and continued investment in the company’s corporate travel strategy. In July Travel Counsellors joined The Guild of Travel Management Companies (GTMC) to boost its offering to its Business Travel agents and their clients, whilst it continues to heavily invest in marketing support and technology. This includes the development of its in-house booking system Phenix, with the advancements in corporate travel specific product and client documentation. The company has also developed a series of training programmes for its leisure agents that will give them the tools, knowledge and technology to expand their business into the corporate travel arena if they wish to do so.

Travel Counsellors now has over 100 consultants specialising purely in business travel, and a further 200 working in both the corporate and leisure travel arena, with this division now accounting for half of the growth of the business overall over the past 4 years. The company expects substantial growth over the next 3-5 years as it attracts more corporate travel professionals and demonstrates to businesses around the globe the many benefits of a truly personal travel service.
