Thracian Cliffs appoints Azalea to head UK drive

The world-class Thracian Cliffs Resort has appointed golf and travel marcomms specialist The Azalea Group to spearhead its campaign to attract more UK golfers.
The luxury Black Sea venue has gained many admirers since opening in 2011, with images of its sensational cliff-top Gary Player golf course being transmitted around the world. It also successfully hosted the 2013 Volvo World Match Play Championship and scooped the ‘European Golf Resort of the Year 2014' award, bestowed by the International Association of Golf Tour Operators (IAGTO).

Azalea will work with the resort's new management team to showcase the outstanding course and facilities at Thracian Cliffs, via an integrated consumer and trade communications and marketing programme, in order to stimulate desire from Europe's largest golfing market.

Part of Azalea's brief will also be to showcase the wider benefits of golfing on Bulgaria's Black Sea coast, which boasts average temperatures of 22°C between the months of April and October and provides cultural and activity highlights both on and off the water. Value for money is also high on the agenda.

Thracian Cliffs' dynamic new general manager, Claudio Marini, said: "We are in a unique position on the Black Sea coast with a wonderful environment for golf and lifestyle breaks. "The resort facilities rival any golf and leisure destination in Europe and, through Azalea, we want to take this message to the hearts and minds of the UK golfing public."

Offering a choice of two high-spec residential villages, gourmet restaurants, a bijou spa and two beaches, Thracian Cliffs offers plenty for non-golfing guests and lifestyle seekers - all within the unique environment of the Cape Kaliakra coast, which boasts averages of 10 hours of daily sunshine between the months of April and October.
