Gane and Marshall hires Hamilton

Wildlife and adventure tour operator appoints its first UK PR agency

Specialist tour operator, Gane and Marshall, has appointed Hamilton Public Relations to promote its wildlife and adventure holidays to the UK audience.
Hamilton has been hired to communicate news, trends, trips and deals from the long-established holiday company; highlight Gane and Marshall’s specialist knowledge in providing tours and adventures for older travellers; and secure press trips to the core destinations of Africa, Antarctica, Indo-China and Scandinavia, in return for travel features.

“2014 is an important year for Gane and Marshall, with new destinations and exciting tours launching and we are delighted to have Hamilton Public Relations on board,” said Jeremy Gane, Managing Director of Gane and Marshall.  “We pride ourselves on delivering off-the-beaten-track travel experiences in safe hands, and are looking forward to sharing our story with the media.”

“We are hugely excited to be working with Gane and Marshall,” said Catriona Hamilton, Director of Hamilton Public Relations.  “Having first visited Africa in the sixties by hitch-hiking from Yorkshire to the Sahara, Jeremy Gane is the epitome of adventure.  He has climbed Kilimanjaro more than 20 times and, as part of his work for sister company Charity Challenge, Jeremy personally led the Comic Relief group of celebrities, including Gary Barlow, Cheryl Cole, Alesha Dixon and Ronan Keating, to the summit in 2009.

“The company’s first-class credentials, combined with the breadth of holiday experiences and destinations on offer, make Gane and Marshall a very exciting player to introduce to the media.”

Hamilton has also been tasked with promoting the company’s School Challenges business, which was created by Jeremy Gane and, acclaimed polar explorer, Alan Chambers MBE, to provide safe, secure and rewarding school expeditions for young people aged 13 and over. The official tour operator for the BBC documentary series, Extreme Classroom, Gane and Marshall has a wealth of experience in organising expeditions to the Arctic, the African desert and Everest Base Camp in the Himalayas for school groups, particularly for special needs students.

Gane and Marshall offers tailor-made holidays and small group itineraries to Africa, Antarctica, Indo-China, the Galapagos, India, Costa Rica, Scandinavia, Indian Ocean Islands and Canada.  Gane and Marshall is supported by a small team of travel consultants who offer a mature and personal service, a wealth of knowledge and experience in their specialist sector and an effusive passion for adventure and travel.
