Chester Racecourse, part of Horseradish’s portfolio of venues, will host the Cheshire and North Wales Lady Taverners annual Royal Ascot Ladies Day event today, Thursday June 19. The raceday will be fully catered by Horseradish and will include a Champagne reception followed by a three course lunch with racing from Ascot broadcast into the Chester course. Guests will also be able to take advantage of Chester’s onsite betting provider, chesterBet and tipsters in order to place their bets.
The event, which raises funds for the organisation’s local activities, will take place in The Pavilion Suite, one of Chester’s largest banqueting suites in the city centre.
Kate Dawson, Head of Sales at Horseradish, comments: “We have worked with the Cheshire and North Wales Lord and Lady Taverners for many years, supporting their fundraising activities from Christmas lunches to high society cricket dinners. Their annual race day event is perfectly suited to being held at Chester Racecourse and we have worked with them to create the Ascot of the North. We look forward to welcoming the who’s who of Cheshire Society to enjoy a day of racing with us.”
Tracey Warrington, Chairman of the Cheshire and North Wales Lady Taverners, comments: “We are very lucky to have such a wonderful working relationship with Chester Racecourse for hosting fun, quality events. Our Royal Ascot Day will be no different. Our focus is raising funds for specially adapted minibuses to provide transport and mobility for young people with special needs. Schools that have benefitted in recent years include Dee Banks and Dorin Park in Chester and St Christopher's, Wrexham with two more brand new minibuses coming to Cheshire and North Wales very soon.”
The Cheshire and North Wales Lady Taverners will also hold their annual Christmas Lunch and Fayre at Chester Racecourse on Thursday 20th November.
