Old Royal Naval College invites bookers to 'breakfast and browse'

Ampersand to host first launch event since winning prestigious contract

On Thursday 22 May the Ampersand events team at the Old Royal Naval College (ORNC) is inviting events bookers to an exclusive ‘breakfast and browse’ tour of its magnificent meeting and event spaces. This is the first such event since ORNC – one of the most iconic venues on the River Thames - chose Ampersand to look after visitor catering, conference and events services in late 2013.

This architectural wonder is widely regarded as a masterpiece - it is described by UNESCO as the "finest and most dramatically-sited architectural and landscape ensemble in the British Isles". Designed by Sir Christopher Wren, and built more than three centuries’ ago, it is the UK’s 11th most-visited attraction with over 1.8 m visitors.

Conveniently located in Zone 2 and only minutes from the City, guests will view the world-famous Painted Hall - often described as the finest dining hall in Europe, with a capacity of 398 guests – plus the Queen Mary and King William Undercrofts. Combined they are ideal for gala dinners, conferences or simply as meeting rooms. The oldest building on the site is the beautiful and fully restored Admiral’s House, which consists of four smaller meeting rooms.

Guests will sample food from award winning caterer Ampersand.

Date: Thursday 22nd May 2014 Time: 08.00 – 11.00
