Choice of unique summer events in the UK

Prestige Sodexo

Prestige Sodexo offers wide range of experiences

Sodexo Prestige is making full use of its range of widely differing exclusive venues to become a one-stop shop for summer events this year.
Anywhere in the UK, organisers can find a convenient Prestige location to thrill, intrigue or amuse delegates, award winners or simply guests.

The Churchill War Rooms in central London were the secret underground headquarters for the British government in the Second World War. They provide a memorable backdrop for a corporate meeting. Four rooms have been restored to look just as they did in 1945, with the addition of modern comforts. Furthermore, groups of 20 to 40 can enjoy picnic lunches in nearby St James’s Park.

Hamilton Park Racecourse, 20 minutes from Glasgow in Scotland, has 19 function suites, including two permanent marquees and over 20 acres of outdoor space. Events can be enlivened with the thrills of live horse racing. BBQ parties are being offered with a 20% discount in 2014.

Knebworth House is a luxurious Gothic mansion 29 miles north of London in Stevenage. Previously the home of Victorian novelist Edward Bulwer Lytton, the house, barns and extensive grounds can adapt to suit any occasion for from 20 to 10,000 delegates. This summer, Prestige has put together a sizzling offer for summer parties with Hog Roast Parties in the Barns and cocktails on arrival, followed by garden games.

St James’ Park, the home of Newcastle United, is one of the largest conference and banqueting facilities in the North East. During the summer months, Prestige will be offering a day delegate rate which includes free bacon rolls on arrival, unlimited tea and coffee throughout the day and a free Cornetto ice cream to finish.

Royal Botanical Garden Edinburgh is one of the most ‘natural’ venues in Scotland. The 120-seat restaurant and range of event spaces are all run with sustainable systems - from a biomass boiler and rainwater harvesting, to solar technology. Prestige’s chefs use produce grown on the estate to make jams, jellies and cheeses. Events capacities range from 20 to 750. Guests can enjoy panoramic views of the Edinburgh skyline from The Terrace Café. Moreover, for evening events confirmed in May or August, Prestige will offer companies a Chef’s choice of complimentary canapés during the drinks reception and a reduction on the venue hire.

Iconic summer events include the Chelsea Flower Show and the 175th Henley Royal Regatta, where Prestige is providing hospitality and catering at Fawley Meadows and Temple Island. Prestige is also catering for events at Royal Ascot 2014 on 17-21 June in the eight trackside restaurants which have private balconies or terraces with views across the track to Windsor Great Park.

Then comes the biggest flower show in Britain at Hampton Court Palace. This will be followed on 16-20 July by The Open, the oldest of the four major golf championships. A variety of private premier suites and gourmet eateries, such as the Gallery Restaurant, will be available for hospitality.

Finally, for art lovers the season has a number of events on offer, including Art Antiques London in Kensington Gardens, held in a pavilion opposite the Royal Albert Hall, where Prestige will provide the catering in the 1851 restaurant, reopening for one week only during the show.
