Event Essentials and Event Essentials Plus are one-week courses in event management, which take place in July. For non-scholarship students, the programmes cost £1,095 + VAT each per delegate, which includes all tuition, course materials, career advice and an internationally recognised course graduation certificate.
The school, managed by agency RLC, is inviting junior event staffers or graduates interested in a career in event management to fill out an easy-to-complete scholarship application form, which can be found at www.eventbusinessacademy.com/scholarship.
RLC Managing Director and EBA Course Tutor Rachel Ley said: “EBA has traditionally awarded scholarship places for anyone looking to up-skill themselves or companies wishing to send junior staff members for an advanced learning opportunity. Having taking over the running of this prestigious event management summer school for 2014, we’re delighted to continue this tradition.”
Jessica Rule, C&E Sales Co-ordinator at Exeter Racecourse & Conference Centre is an alumni of Event Business Academy, having won a scholarship for the Event Essentials course in 2012. She said: “I really enjoyed it, it’s interactive-based learning so there’s lots of opportunities to ask questions and connect with fellow students who come from all over the world. My former classmates are now friends working in events in Hong Kong, Australia and India so it’s a great course for making future contacts. “We were fortunate enough to go behind the scenes of the London 2012 Olympics and gain practical experience in how large-scale events are managed. I personally learned a lot about communication and interaction, which has helped me in the workplace. I would recommend Event Business Academy to anyone with a serious interest in a career around events.”
Event Essentials will take place from 14-18 July and Event Essentials Plus runs from 21-25 July.
