EVCOM official launch

Dale Parmenter, Chairman of EVCOM
Tuesday 15th April saw the official launch of EVCOM the leading industry body for events and visual communication at 30 Euston Square – Searcy’s.
Many members were in attendance and enjoyed a champagne reception followed by a brief presentation by Dale Parmenter.
Dale Parmenter, Chairman of EVCOM said, ‘The turnout exceeded our expectations with around 80 guests. It was great to see a good mix of members from Eventia and IVCA, plus potential new members. There was a brilliant atmosphere and a real buzz in the room.

'Steve Garvey (former Chairman of IVCA) and myself have also finally signed the agreement, so now as a board and secretariat we can make a difference for our members and really deliver on the promises included in the presentation.’

The focus of the evening was the official signing and laying out of EVCOMs plans for the next 12 months.   Now with a full back office and a 20 strong board, the association’s aim is to really make a difference working together with its members to inform, engage and inspire.

Members will gain from the larger organization with greater resources and the benefits this will give such as: stronger representation and voice, more networking opportunities across a broader membership, a broader educational programme and an enlarged awards scheme.

EVCOM already has established specialist groups to address specific issues and opportunities these include: Education, Events, Regulation, Membership, Corporate Responsibility and Communications and these groups will continue to ensure that the core membership benefits such as: seminars, networking, awards, trade missions, newsletters and the website continue to grow and provide the right type of platform for all.
