The Appointment Group acquires ET Travel

The Directors of The Appointment Group Ltd. (TAG) have announced the acquisition of ET Travel Ltd. (ET) with immediate effect. The transaction is a cash/share deal and sees ET's current joint Managing Directors Ian Patterson and Glen Duckworth, join the main TAG board as Joint Chief Operating Officers.
"Bringing together the experience and skills of both businesses will create a very exciting and dynamic management team, to drive continued growth on a global basis" comments TAG joint Chairman & CEO John Gianquitto.

The transaction will see the coming together of two of the worlds leading Travel Management Companies, to create one truly global entity providing exceptional service to the Corporate, Touring, Events and Leisure sectors. "Joining a business like TAG will allow us to offer our clients a far greater degree of enhanced services worldwide" commented ET joint Managing Director Ian Patterson.

TAG has just celebrated 25 years in business, with offices in London, New York, Los Angeles, Melbourne and Sydney, providing a very high end service to the Corporate, Touring, Events and Leisure travel sectors. "Having Ian and Glen on the TAG Board of Directors will be a huge asset to the combined business and will contribute to us achieving our strategic global objectives" commented TAG joint Chairman & CEO Maurice Veronique.

ET has been building an enviable reputation in the UK and European Corporate and Touring travel sectors over the past 18 years with offices in London and Manchester. "We are very much looking forward to the opportunities that the combined business will offer to our clients, suppliers and staff" commented ET joint Managing Director Glen Duckworth.

The combined business will create one of the UK's largest independent Travel Management Companies with global revenues in excess of GBP £125m (US $200m).
