Ride out the January blues with a free dram from Glengoyne on a Rabbies's tour

Award-winning Rabbie’s Small Group Tours has the perfect antidote for chasing away the winter blues. For the month of January its popular one day Loch Lomond National Park and Stirling Castle tour will also include a whisky stop – with free dram and entry to Glengoyne Distillery..

Leaving from Glasgow’s celebrated George Square, passengers will spend the day steeped in the land of Scots heroes Rob Roy, Robert the Bruce and William Wallace. The tour then takes in the magnificent splendour of the medieval stronghold of Stirling Castle, as well as the beautiful nature and forests of Scotland’s first National Park – Loch Lomond and The Trossachs.

Further adding to the appeal of this tour is that for the month of January only, Rabbie’s has teamed up with Glengoyne Distillery near Killearn. Located in a beautiful wooded glen overlooking the breathtaking West Highland Way, the free tour of Glengoyne also includes a wee dram to toast the start of 2014 from a company whose Highland Single Malt is one of the leading malt whiskies in the world.

Hazel Rickett, managing director of Rabbie’s, said: “The start of a new year is often a time when many want to blow away the cobwebs after the festive season. What better way to do this than to enjoy some of Scotland’s most glorious scenery from the comfort of one of our luxury coaches.

“This is a very popular trip and we’re thrilled to be able to provide a free tour of the Glengoyne distillery and a dram for our customers. It adds another dimension to the experience – one that I have no doubt will be appreciated by our passengers.”

Departing daily at 9.00am from George Square, the tours run from 3 through to 31 January, taking in The Trossachs, Rob Roy country, Loch Lomond, Aberfoyle and Stirling before arriving back at its starting point at approximately 6pm.
