Kensington Palace transformed into Winter Palace

Hundreds of trees and acres of snow are on the Christmas shopping list for one of the UK’s top event planners, Liz Taylor of the Taylor Lynn Corporation, as she creates the magical wintry design for the Centrepoint charity fundraiser, the Winter Whites Gala, to be held tonight at Kensington Palace and hosted by the charity’s patrons, the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge.

The design of the Winter Whites Gala event has been masterminded by the Manchester based event organiser to transport the 700 guests drawn from the worlds of entertainment and business, to a romantic and magical wintry land.

‘I was delighted that American film director, Danielle Alexandra, asked me to get involved.  She wanted the inspiration for the event design to be the epic ice palace scenes  from Dr Zhivago, and challenged me to interpret this on a grand and elegant scale, to suit the Kensington Palace venue’ said event planner Liz Taylor.

Liz has put together a team of top names in event design including florist of the year Simon Lycett and Wolt Dammers of international set designers S2 , to transform part of the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge’s home into a magical winter forest complete with ice palace and a ballerina dancing atop a 12 foot rotating music box.  The entertainment is also on a grand scale, with a line-up of rock and pop stars to entertain guests including the likes of Eliza Doolittle, Bon Jovi and Taylor Swift.

‘It is going to me a fabulous event for a wonderful charity’ says event planner Liz Taylor

‘I am delighted to be involved and we have pulled out all the stops to reimagine and reinvent the space at Kensington Palace into a sparkling winter land. Guests will be blown-away!
