Search ITCM ready to hit 2014, the festive branch of the Vivid Event Group, is getting ready to organise their annual ‘Venue Safaris’, in December, this year.
'Venue Safaris' are designed to be informative and simplify the decision process of choosing a venue for the following years' Christmas event. Potential and existing clients, looking to entertain over 150 guests, are shown a tailored range of locations during the current festive period, enabling them to grasp a sense of the production values, theming quality and overall feel of the locations.

Although work on behalf of the client, not the venues, the ‘venue safaris’, offer locations an opportunity to showcase their spaces and further build upon the existing client-agent relationship. As Kate McIntosh, Sales Director of It’s The Agency, states, “So much pleasure during the festive season is sensory, and we want clients to smell, touch, hear and feel the party experience for themselves. We always like to offer our bookers a choice in theme, so it’s a great chance to show how these themes can transform a venue. We love to meet bookers face-to-face; it’s a lot more fun than an email!”

Late Night London has also been working with for several years, benefitting from the venue safaris in terms of market insight. As Milan Thakrar, National Account Manager at LNL, explains “The safari will enable us to really understand what clients are looking for when searching for a club venue in 2014. With such a vast variety of venues out there, it’s a great initiative for both venues and clients.”

Hannah Walley, Head of Sales for D&D London commented: “We’ve worked closely with the for over 6 years and have found this concept hugely beneficial to both clients and ourselves. Our portfolio of high-end restaurants across the city has a diverse range of cuisine of the finest quality. Each of our locations are dressed in a theme appropriate to the venue style, and so providing a Venue Safari during the festive period offers a unique opportunity for clients to get a taste of what they can expect”.

Managing Director of, Charlie Hepburn states, “Clients have found our ‘Venue Safaris’ to be invaluable. Safaris are focused not only on building relationships, but also on offering clients the opportunity to view fully themed venues first-hand, rather than on a computer screen or paper”.
