MPI Italia as a main player in roundtable on trends, languages and expectations of corporate world

Great news from MPI Italia Chapter. In Florence, in the upcoming edition of BTC (The Italian Events Tradeshow), the Chapter will organize a roundtable aiming to deepen the “demand side” of the meeting industry, the corporate reality that our industry is commonly unwilling to deal with.

The roundtable will take place on Wednesday November 13th starting at 9,30 am in the Sala dell’Arco (Room of the Bow) in Fortezza da Basso, a historical tradeshow location in Florence, that this year is back as the BTC venue. There the results of the survey carried out by Cisalpina Research “Corporate world: challenges, trends, languages expectations in events and congress management”, will be revealed. The survey comes from the partnership between MPI Italia Chapter and Cisalpina Tours, aiming to create and spread a healthy corporate culture, based on international standards and languages, among companies that commit to planners and suppliers communication events. The on-going change of marketplaces makes arise new and puts companies to face new challenges, even in MICE segments: meetings incentives, conventions and events showed deep changes in the most recent years. But how is the way of managing events changing in Italy? Are there new approaches to the management of corporate events, B2B as well as B2C? Which are the strategic aspects that companies take into account for the next future?

This survey aims to explore trends in event industry in Italy and understand how companies are dealing with this renewal phase. The reference target are Corporate Event Managers, Marketing Managers and whoever, within his/her own organization, deals with corporate events.

During the roundtable the data resulted from the survey will be commented in interactive way with the audience. Will take the floor: Olimpia Ponno, President MPI Italia Chapter, Rosemarie Caglia, marketing manager Cisalpina Tours; Gianni Davi, events and sponsorship manager UniCredit; Graziella Pica, director of sales & marketing Italy & Eastern Mediterranean Countries Worldhotels. Moderates the editor of “Event Report” Margherita Franchetti.

The survey, beside analysing the internal and external issues in companies, and the challenges the corporate event manager is often forced to face, focuses on the relation with suppliers, agencies and the approach to new tech tools. The survey aims to understand the strategic impact of events within the organizations and of their priority in corporate life.

At the end the ceremony of MPI Italia Recognition Awards 2012-2013 will be held, to reward the most proactive members to the development of the community. The Recognition Awards are at their second edition, the first one having been held on June 30th 2012 in Porto Cervo during the national MPI Italia Chapter
