Guests staying at a range of renowned Lake District hotels including the Langdale Hotel and Spa, Brimstone Hotel, Lakeside Hotel, the Drunken Duck, the Masons Arms and the Punchbowl, can experience an off-road adventure en-route to their accommodation and enjoy access to parts of the Lake District that are usually off limits.
Those who book a Kankku Transfer will be met by their guide at Windermere Train Station where they will receive a full briefing and be provided with their transfer vehicle – a tough ex-Army Land Rover complete with maps, pre-programmed satellite GPS and a road book direction system derived from the World Rally Championship.
They can then make their own way off-road to their hotel and take in some spectacular Lake District views along the way. Once they’ve arrived at their accommodation they can simply hand the keys to Reception, ready for the vehicle to be collected by Kankku.
Alternative collection points in the central Lake District are available, as are off-road adventures to other accommodation providers and anyone holding a full UK driving license can get behind the wheel.
The Kankku Transfer service is available all year round, seven days a week and costs from £100. Kankku vehicles can carry up to six passengers.
