Delegates tackle the minefield of Health and Safety on Eventia How to seminar

Delegates who attended Eventia’s most recent ‘How to Seminar’, held at etc.venues Avonmouth House, London on 15th October were shown through a bite size session how to get their heads around the latest rules and regulations concerning Health & Safety in the events industry. 

Helping them get up to speed was Brian Kirsch, Head of Eventia’s regulation committee, and Managing Director of Event Assured who led the session. 

Joining Brian were a panel of experts all with many years of experience and a wealth of knowledge in the field: Alan Law, Event Safety Consultant AFL; Melvin Sandell, Health and Safety Executive, currently an operational inspector within the entertainments and leisure sector and Steve Kearney, Principal Safety Consultant, Gallowglass who was there to discuss training and qualifications, best practice and interpretation of H&S legislation.

“It was a great mix of speakers and delegates who were able to share experiences, while taking away from the seminar some great learning’s. This was just one of a whole series of member events we have planned over the coming months”, said Eventia Chairman Dale Parmenter.

Eventia are also holding ‘How to seminars’ on topics including ‘Measuring ROI’ and ‘TOMs’  at the end of October and early November and are also gearing up for their annual Awards which takes place on 22nd November at Hilton on Park Lane.
