ADMEI member DMCs report business growth

The majority of member Destination Management Companies (DMC) of ADMEI report that their business in 3Q 2013 was better than one year ago and are projecting an increase for 4Q 2013. Along with an increase in business, a majority of these DMCs project 2013 to be more profitable than the previous year.  Looking ahead to 2014, more than 75% of ADMEI members expect business to continue to improve based on advanced bookings.

ADMEI member DMCs from around the globe participated in this survey, including Europe, Middle East/Arabian Gulf, North and Central America.

Given the wide geographic participation, more than 90% of the participants indicate that the US government shutdown has not changed their forecast for 4Q 2013. A little more than 55% report that due to their location, they anticipate little or no impact and project that participation in programs and tours will not significantly decrease.

Only 20% of respondents report decreased revenue compared to the previous year and only 13% project 4Q 2013 to be worse than 4Q 2012.  Fewer than 10% project business to decrease in 2014.
