The Man Booker Prize, which was launched in 1969, is widely regarded as the most important literary award in the English-speaking world. Moving Venue has been appointed by events PR agency Four Colman Getty to provide a Champagne canapé reception and dinner for the evening, which will be attended by 500 luminaries of literature, authors, agents and judges, and BBC will be broadcasting from Guildhall.
Staff will present guests with a selection of canapés from Moving Venue’s Autumn/Winter menu, followed by a three-course dinner. During the ceremony, which this year marks the 45th anniversary of the Man Booker Prize, the six shortlisted authors will each be presented with a cheque for £2,500 and a hand-bound edition of their book. In addition, the Man Booker Prize-winner will receive £50,000 and worldwide acclaim.
Gail Heron, sales and marketing manager at Moving Venue, said: “We pride ourselves on being experts at partnering with companies for awards ceremonies, and it’s extremely exciting to be able to cater at such a high-profile event. I’m positive the evening will be a great success for all involved.”
Lisa Perkins, event manager at Four Colman Getty, said: “We are looking forward to working with Moving Venue on one of our favourite events of the year. Following a fantastic tasting we are looking forward to seeing it unfold on the night.”
