Bath Tourism ready to ‘Raise the Baa’ in London

In its continued drive at attracting more business events to Bath, Bath Tourism Plus (BTP) will be ‘herding together its flock’ of venues and conference facilities and showcasing them in the fashionable heart of Knightsbridge on the 15th October 2013.

This is a proactive move by BTP as it recognises that business events in the region add an estimated £24.4million* to the local economy. Showcasing Bath in this way allows meetings and events suppliers from Bath to meet London buyers and event organisers who have a genuine interest in bringing business to Bath.

As Bath is able to provide some of the most spectacular ‘wow factor’ venues to be found in the UK, clients attending the event will discover hotels, attractions and historic buildings that make Bath the perfect choice for events, conferences and incentive trips at the stylish Georgian townhouse, 30 Pavilion Road; making it the perfect venue for showcasing Bath’s offering.

Venues attending include the newly renovated Bailbrook House, land mark attractions such as the Royal Crescent Hotel and the eagerly awaited 5* Gainsborough Hotel. In addition, venues that are perfect for staging events and providing incentive activities such as Folly Farm which offers sheep shepherding team building activities and Thermae Bath Spa, will be there amongst others to showcase their facilities, take bookings and discuss event options.

A platform like this provides the perfect opportunity for event organisers to view the range of venues and incentivised activities that can’t be found anywhere else in the country such as feeding lions, herding sheep or bathing in the city’s natural thermal waters.

Located just 90 minutes by train direct from London Paddington, Nick Brooks-Sykes, Chief Executive Bath Tourism Plus stated: By hosting these showcase events in the capital it gives Bath Tourism the opportunity to highlight to the London market just how accessible Bath is as a destination and how varied our offerings are.”

With approximately 15 venues in attendance providing advice and information, there will also be live demonstrations, tastings, a range of prizes and on the day discounted rates.
