Independent British tour operator launches new Arctic whale watching package for 2013/14

Independent tour operator and Arctic specialist, Transun, has launched a new exclusive, Arctic whale watching package, allowing agents to sell a rare wildlife travel experience.
The new Arctic whale watching package includes a trip to see large pods of humpback and killer whales in Tromso in November and December, where they gather to feast on shoals of migrating herring in the Arctic fjords – a sight that cannot be seen at any other time of year. The itinerary also includes a Northern Lights snowmobile safari and a husky sledding experience.

Nico Kostich, director of trading, Transun, comments: “This is the latest new product that we have launched for 2013/14 which allows agents to sell a real once-in-a-lifetime experience to their clients. Not only is the whale watching a spectacular sight but it all takes place against the stunning backdrop of the Arctic fjords to create a unforgettable break.”

The three-night Arctic Whale Watching package starts from £1,099 per person (based on two people sharing). A four night version of the break is also available.

Specially chartered flights depart from six regional airports including London Gatwick from 19 November 2013, until January 2014.

Price includes return flights and relevant taxes, transfers, two nights’ half-board accommodation in Tromso (Norway) and one night full-board accommodation in Karesuando (Sweden), as well as a three hour whale watching boat trip, a two hour Northern Lights snowmobile safari and a husky ride experience.

Transun’s dedicated agent area of the website includes sales tips, booking information and pricing, including special offers.
