Marketing Greece partners with Hills Balfour to promote 'an undiscovered Greece' to the UK

Marketing Greece has appointed leading travel PR and marketing agency, Hills Balfour, to implement a dedicated public relations and social media strategy as part of its overall launch to the UK market.
The strategy will be rolled out across an 18 month period and will promote Greece’s year round diverse offerings to the UK trade and consumers, through traditional and new-age media forms.

Marketing Greece cooperates closely with the Ministry of Tourism and the Greek National Tourism Organisation (GNTO), to plan and implement targeted actions appealing to international visitors.

Key stakeholders include the Association of Greek Tourism Enterprises, the Hellenic Chamber of Hotels and the Association of Greek Advertising Companies.

Marketing Greece’s General Manager Mr Iossif Parsalis said, ‘We are very happy to be working with Hills Balfour and feel their experience and expertise in the destination PR and social media realm will help us take Greece to a new level.

“Tourism is a hugely important industry for Greece and we want to ensure that we are 100% committed to putting Greece back on the map and demonstrating to the British that there is always more to discover, whether it be on one of the Greek islands or on the mainland”.

“We look forward to working with Hills Balfour to communicate the core brand messages of the destination in order to increase our visitor economy,” Mr Parsalis said.

Senior Account Manager, Natalie Schofield will head up the account at Hills Balfour working alongside Social Media Director Lucy Campbell, Greek Media Consultant Tom Panagos and Senior Account Executive Jessica Flood.
