Travel 2 sees website sales up 57% year on year

Travel 2’s recently revamped website, has seen a 57% increase in online bookings compared to this time last year.
The website, which was launched in August 2010, and revamped earlier this year, continues to be improved based on agent feedback including the ability to book car hire online, various new XMLs including Sandals, Universal, Caesars and Jumeirah which give agents access to preferred rates, instant availability and a full range of room types, as well as a top 10 airfares and hotels grids, and six destination icons linking to holiday offer window posters, each regionally priced to cater for agents across the UK.

Travel 2 sales & marketing director, Gordon McCreadie commented: “We will continue to invest in our online resources based on feedback from independent agents and it’s great to see agents making the most of the improved functionality of the site and increasing sales.”
