The aim of the event, held from Tuesday 24th July to Thursday 26th July, was to engage with the staff at Venues Event Management, in order to increase sales and bookings to their hotels across the country.
Day one saw informative hotel presentations, whilst the office was transformed into a ‘Fun Fair Fantasy’, with a popcorn machine, candy cane clad stilt walkers and flame throwers to entertain us. Throughout the day there were numerous fun fair themed games; including hoopla, target throwing and fishing for rubber ducks; with some fantastic prizes to be won.
Simon Cowell made an appearance at the Venues Event Management office on day two! With a ‘Cool Britannia’ theme in place, each member of staff was given a celebrity mask to help with the photo competition, of which one of the categories was to snap a ‘group photo with someone famous’. A hotel based word search also saw employee Alisdair Ross win a two night stay in the Raddison Blu Portman Hotel, London.
A ‘guess the celebrity who hadn’t stayed at a Carlson Rezidor Hotel’ competition saw Trisha Simpson win a weekend away to the Radisson Blu Waterfront Hotel, Jersey.
Day three was themed ‘Mini Mania’ with a competition in place to ‘guess the number of squares’ on one of the Park Inn by Radisson Mini’s driven by the Carlson Rezidor staff; ‘the number of balloons inside the Mini’ in order to win a weekend away for 4, along with a set of Disneyland tickets. Laura Law gladly received her prize!
Throughout the focus event a point system was in place for those who arranged a site inspection or made a new booking to one of the Carlson Rezidor Group Hotels.
