Grand Hôtel de Bordeaux & Spa, the five-star luxury hotel and spa in Bordeaux, has announced the appointment of Astrid Heitz as Director of Sales and Marketing. Astrid Heitz joins Grand Hôtel de Bordeaux & Spa from the Wyndham Grand London Chelsea Harbour, where she worked as the Director of Sales & Marketing for over five years.

Westin Hotels & Resorts appoints Fred Smits as General Manger of the Westin Dublin

Westin Hotels & Resorts has announced the appointment of Fred Smits as General Manager of The Westin Dublin.  Fred joins The Westin Dublin from the Sheraton Amsterdam Airport Hotel & Conference Center where he was Executive Assistant Manager.
  Born in the Netherlands, Fred began his career with Starwood Hotels & Resorts at The Westin Rotterdam in 2001 as Executive Chef, working his way up to become Director of Food & Beverage in 2005, a role he held until February 2007.

Mayr &more appoints Dr Stefan Domenig as new Medical Director

The multi-award-winning Mayr &more has announced the appointment of Dr Stefan Domenig, as the new Medical Director.
Dr Domenig joins Mayr &more with an extensive background in F.X. Mayr medicine.  After completing his medical degree and additional certifications in orthomolecular medicine, F.X. Mayr medicine, applied Kinesiology, Chronobiology and manual medicine, he worked for six years at the Viva Mayr Health Centre as Assistant Medical Director and during his time there, successfully co-developed their medical programme and focus.

Brisbane’s new Royal International Convention Centre (RICC) has appointed Sean Cummings as its Executive Chef.
The annual Royal Queensland Show is renowned for showcasing fresh food and produce and now with the opening of RICC at Brisbane’s RNA Showgrounds, this show tradition is set to continue all year round.

Katy brings a wealth of hospitality experience, gained both in the UK and abroad, to the Scottish capital’s recently restored historic venue.  Her experience encompasses catering, operations, event management and sales working for such prestigious names as Heritage Portfolio, the Edinburgh International Conference Centre, Prestige Scotland at the Royal Botanic Gardens, the Radisson Blu in Galway and with Heritage Hotel Group in New Zealand.
