ATPI Group announces new general manager for UK business

Promoted from his current position as general manager of the London office, Simon Bean takes up the new role with immediate effect to ensure that the company’s service delivery and client implementation experience is unrivalled within the UK TMC sector.
Reporting to Peter Muller, the ATPI Group’s chief operating officer for Europe and the USA, Simon Bean is charged with retaining high levels of client satisfaction and further growing the range of services.
Graham Ramsey, CEO, the ATPI Group explains: “ATPI is dedicated to continuing our dynamic growth within the UK marketplace and in his new role as general manager for the UK business operations, Simon will both manage the team and grow the company’s existing service offering. The promotion of Simon reaffirms the ATPI Group’s commitment to investing in our own people and we’re confident that he will continue to lead the business into new areas of growth.”
Following the announcement of the new general manager role, Chris Medland has stepped into Simon’s former role and has been appointed as the new general manager for the London office. Formerly an assistant operations manager, Chris has been with the company for over 14 years and over the past few years has been travelling the world, carrying out operational and account management work for ATPI in Oslo, Bergen, Stavanger, Hong Kong and Houston.
In his new role Chris will report to Simon and have full operational responsibilities for the Corporate & Marine Travel, ATP Select and Passport & Visa businesses housed within the London office. Chris will also focus on the commercial development of the various businesses operating from London as part of his new remit.
The ATPI Group employs over 1,400 people worldwide in 52 offices worldwide, and has successful operations in corporate travel, marine travel, corporate event management and online travel technology.
