Global Business Travel Association announces new European Advisory Board appointmentsThe Global Business Travel Association (GBTA) has announced two new appointments to its European Advisory Board. Torsten Kriedt, Vice President, Product Planning & Intelligence at BCD Travel and Kieran Hartwell, Senior Vice President, EMEA at RADIUS have joined the existing board, chaired by Torbjörn Erling of Ikea Group. Mr Kriedt will be responsible for the strategic direction of GBTA’s education in the region, whilst Mr Hartwell will focus on special interest groups and market segmentation.
GBTA Europe’s Advisory Board Chairman, Torbjörn Erling said, “We have been looking for the right talent to continue the development of GBTA in Europe and having created more defined roles for advisors to support the association’s strategic plan we are delighted these two gentlemen have agreed to take on the roles.”
Torsten Kriedt is the Vice President of Product Planning & Intelligence at BCD Travel. He leads a global team responsible for service and product innovation for corporate level clients, market trend analysis, and strategic growth initiatives. Torsten continues to serve on the executive team of Advito - the consulting arm of BCD Travel - with a specific focus on industry research. Torsten has more than 20 years of international travel management and consulting experience. Mr Kriedt joins the GBTA Advisory Board after leading a team of leading consultants to create the GBTA Strategic KPI Toolkit, launched earlier this year.
Kieran Hartwell holds the post of Senior Vice President, EMEA for RADIUS. Kieran provides targeted support for all RADIUS network, corporate client and supplier relationships throughout EMEA. He is also instrumental in demonstrating how the RADIUS network can help multinational corporations wishing to consolidate their corporate travel requirements on a regional or global basis. He is currently in the MBA program at the University of Durham (UK), and is a graduate of GBTA’s Executive Education Global Leadership Program (GLP) delivered by Philadelphia’s renowned Wharton Business School.
The association said that it plans to announce a number of buyer appointments to the advisory board in the coming months ahead of its European conference in Budapest in September.
