AlliedPRA Destination Management adds new team members in Arabian, European and US Markets

AlliedPRA Destination Management has announced a number of new team member appointments which will expand global destination offerings and markets, bring additional support to the company, and complement the existing marketing, sales and operational expertise. New directors and operational managers have been appointed in the Arabian, European and US markets, adding key leadership positions to drive business growth over the coming years. In addition, AlliedPRA has partnered with SK Unique Sales and Marketing to expand its reach into the Austrian and German regions, broadening once again its destinations served worldwide.

Alan Wheatley has been appointed Managing Director of Allied Arabia. Wheatley has extensive experience in the hospitality sector and in recent years, has managed a number of small but successful high growth businesses. He has considerable sales experience and has been an ex-pat employee in Dubai for over 15 years, with an intimate knowledge of the UAE region and its service requirements. Wheatley will oversee the sales, marketing and product offering efforts, working closely with all current and prospective clientele to promote AlliedPRA as the trusted source and key destination resource in the UAE DMC market. Also joining the AlliedPRA Arabia team is Liliana Velasquez, covering sales efforts, supplier relationships and expanding the AlliedPRA Arabia product offerings. Rounding out the team is Chito Garcia offering an immense experience in the DMC sector, serving as a skilled operator, proposal generator and administrator.

In the European Market, AlliedPRA has partnered with Sebastian Kubin of SK Unique Sales and Marketing. Kubin will expand the company's marketing and sales efforts and destination offerings in Germany, Austria and Switzerland; a growing market segment and key strategic move for the AlliedPRA brand. Germany is the largest source market in Europe for MICE and corporate travel and Kubin's efforts will further enhance the global reach of the AlliedPRA brand in this arena.

Maurizio Leoni, who for a number of years has served as the Managing Director of AlliedPRA’s operations in Italy is moving to a much broader EMEA role taking on responsibility for leading AlliedPRA’s European Sales initiatives and the development of a pan-European Sales approach. Building on his many years of leading our Italian operations, Leoni is well positioned to leverage his European MICE experience and in-depth knowledge of the marketplace to identify and grow new markets across Europe.

Cees Molenaar joins the marketing team, based in San Diego, Calif. to oversee the international marketing strategy and drive sales efforts in the corporate, association and incentive markets. Molenaar will be instrumental in the development and implementation of AlliedPRA's international marketing and communications plan, utilizing his professional background and expertise of over 15 years of strategic marketing plan development.

Melanie Fletcher (pictured) rounds out the new team members, being appointed to the Global Sales team covering the Southeast region. She brings extensive sales and event planning experience with a successful track record of setting and supporting internal and external sales goals and objectives. Serving the hospitality industry for several years, Fletcher is well-versed in working with clients from hotels, third parties, association and corporate markets, cultivating relationship, while ensuring client requirements for creative event ideas, vendor selection, site visits, contracting, and onsite client event services are achieved. She is an active member and volunteer of the local MPI chapter in Georgia and served as the Past President and Board Member for the LSU Alumni Atlanta Chapter.
