CH&CO creates two new CEO positions
CH&Co – the leading independent catering group – has announced plans to structure the company for further growth with the creation of two new CEO roles – one for each arm of its business. Current managing director Caroline Fry becomes CEO of Business & Industry (B&I) and current managing director Alison Tyler takes an equivalent position for Commercial. The announcement comes after a period of business wins for both at CH&Co: under Caroline B&I has recently announced winning the Dune Shoe Company, and Thames Water contracts, while last year Alison’s Commercial team won the five and a half year public catering contract for Historic Royal Palaces - worth an estimated sales value of £60 million alone – and the prestigious Goldsmiths’ Hall. Caroline (1994) and Alison (1998) have proven long term successful track records at CH&Co, and this new structure both recognises their contributions and aligns the business to best continue its successful growth trend by increasing their teams’ ability to offer clients specialist services.
Both CEOs will report to current chairman Tim Jones. Commenting on the announcement CH&Co founder Robyn Jones said: “Caroline and Alison have been instrumental in building the business into the successful organisation that it is today and the creation of these two new roles empowers them to set our strategic roadmap for the future by allowing our business to specialise in the areas where we know we excel.”
At the same time CH&Co founder Robyn Jones is launching a new three-tier strategy to support both arms of the business. She is undertaking programmes: to ensure that CH&Co continues to be recognised as the market leader for food development and merchandising; to nurture young talent throughout the business; and to devote more time to charitable initiatives on behalf of CH&Co. Tim Jones said: “We will ensure that CH&Co supports the two teams to maximum effect and that the full weight of CH&Co’s expertise is brought to bear when the CEOs need it.”
