Full steam ahead to IMEX for Messe Stuttgart

From May 20 to 22, 2014, Messe Stuttgart and ICS International Congress Center Stuttgart will be exhibiting at IMEX Frankfurt, the world's largest trade fair for the convention, event and incentive industry. The message they bring is nothing but good news, as the cluster strategy introduced in September 2013 and the organisational restructuring of the Guest Events division have already led to the first contracts being signed.

"Our target objective is to be one of the leading trade fair and event locations in Germany for the automotive, IT, medical, energy and trade sectors", comments Stefan Lohnert, Division Director Guest Events. New events are therefore being pursued by following a cluster strategy that places special emphasis on these five sectors. "We want to showcase the initial success we have achieved with our restructuring activities in an international environment."

To this end, the 2014 programme includes hosting the uniti expo, an international trade fair that caters to petrol stations around the world and is attended by approximately 300 exhibitors and 10,000 visitors. The Samsung Roadshow, which was created by the South Korean company to introduce 1,000 specialist visitors to its new range of products, is also on the list and will be held this year at Messe Stuttgart.

In 2016, the Conference of the German Society of Gynecologists and Obstetricians, which has a preliminary attendance of 3,500, is scheduled to take place on the fair grounds and will be followed by the annual conference of the German Respiratory Society in 2017, which also has an attendance numbering 3,500. Additional events for the target sectors are likewise planned and will soon be finalised.

An absolute must for the industry, IMEX offers the perfect opportunity to further enhance the profile of Messe Stuttgart and is used by event and incentive managers around the world to interface with more than 3,500 international exhibitors from over 150 countries. Among these visitors are national and regional convention and tourist bureaus, hotels, congress centres, airlines, event agencies, associations and representatives from the technical press. This year, Messe Stuttgart and ICS will again be exhibiting at the Stuttgart destination stand (stand F020), which is located in the Germany trade stand area.
