Construction Expo chooses Kent Event Centre for third year

Maidstone Exhibition Hall at Kent Event Centre
For the third year running, Kent Event Centre has won the contract to host the Construction Expo on 6th October. The event, run by the Kent Invicta Chamber of Commerce, is expected to attract more than 200 exhibitors and 3,000 visitors from across the UK.

The Construction Expo will cover 5,000m2 of exhibition space across Kent Event Centre’s Maidstone Exhibition Hall and John Hendry Pavilion. The flexibility of the venue will enable the event organisers to offer visitors a dynamic range of options, including live demonstrations, seminars, a ‘Meet the Buyer’ area, as well as a business breakfast workshop and gala dinner.

Speakers include global construction businesses Balfour Beatty and Kier Group, as well as Checkatrade Founder, Kevin Byrne, and architect Richard Hawkes, who created the Eco Arch for Channel 4’s Grand Designs. The Chief Executive of Ebbsfleet Development Corporation will also update delegates on the progress of the new £310million Garden City in north Kent, which will create up to 15,000 homes.

Jo James, Chief Executive of the Kent Invicta Chamber of Commerce, says: “Kent Event Centre’s flexible space gives us the perfect platform to host a complex event that will be attended by record-breaking numbers of visitors. We have returned to Kent Event Centre for the third year as it provides the flexibility we need, backed up by a highly professional team of people, to help us deliver a seamless event.”

Alison Wallington, Kent Event Centre Manager, says: “The Construction Expo’s decision to return to us for a third year is a testament to our team’s dedication to making every event a success. It is their skill and the venue’s 50-year track record of delivering a range of exhibitions, trade fairs and conferences that makes us the number-one choice for events of this scale in the region.”
