Workspace pioneer Spaces to launch Liverpool site

Contemporary co-working hub in city’s Tea Factory

Contemporary co-working hub to open in city’s Tea Factory

Amsterdam-born creative workspace pioneer Spaces has chosen Liverpool’s thriving Ropewalks area as the location for its latest site. Spaces Liverpool, which is due to open next January, will occupy the second and third floors of the Tea Factory.   The facility will provide local professionals with an impressive 10,300 ft2 hub built around the concept of community and shared ideas.

Spaces is a creative working environment with a unique entrepreneurial ethos. Its workspaces offer an inspiring environment designed to integrate lifestyle into work, and members are encouraged to build their networks and connect. It  seeks to attract entrepreneurs, SMEs and corporates and has many high-profile clients including PayPal, Twitter, and Uber.

The new Tea Factory site is designed to meet the varied workplace requirements of today’s entrepreneurial businesses. The open-plan space will include more than 120 workstations and  there will also be space for private meetings and quieter work in numerous offices and meeting-rooms.

This announcement is the latest step in Spaces’ UK expansion plans.  The company, which was founded in 2006, already has a hub just off  Oxford Street in London and is due to open locations in Glasgow and Gerrards Cross later this year.  Internationally, the company has a presence in the Netherlands, USA and Australia and is due to open in Mexico, Japan and Singapore this autumn.

Martijn Roordink, co-founder of Spaces said: “By providing social and inspirational environments with a real focus on community, Spaces is redefining what it means to be ‘at work.’

“Liverpool is a dynamic, world-class city where culture, creativity and entrepreneurial spirit thrive and the site is a perfect fit for the Ropewalks area, with its design-led, urban village atmosphere.  Spaces gives members the opportunity to work alongside and meet fellow professionals who believe in the power of a collaborative approach to ideas generation and business growth.”

A regular program of business and networking events will be hosted at the site to further encourage connection and collaboration.
