March opening for Raffles Tianjin
Raffles Tianjin will be the first penthouse hotel in China’s northern financial hub, Tianjin City. It is scheduled to open in March 2010. This will be the second Raffles in China, after Raffles Beijing Hotel.
Occupying the top 14 floors of Tianjin Centre’s West Tower in the Heping District – the city’s business and retail district – Raffles Tianjin will have 116 rooms, including 22 suites, that will be among the largest in the city. The property will have five restaurants and bars, including CitySpace Rooftop Bar with dramatic panoramic views, Qing Palace Chinese Restaurant, SóU Rooftop Restaurant, serving Japanese and European cuisine, as well as Opera Café and a Lobby Bar. The property will also offer extensive banqueting, conference and corporate event facilities, including a Grand Ballroom able to host up to 400 guests. The property is located along the prime shopping belt of Binjiang Avenue, above a designer shopping mall. It is a short stroll from two metro stations and 20 minutes from Tianjin Railway Station, which connects to the 30-minute high speed railway to Beijing. Tianjin Binhai International Airport, 30 minutes from the hotel, offers connections to most major cities in China and across the world.
