200-year-old mansion opens to MICE events near Edinburgh

Gosford House, a neo-classical mansion on the coast near Edinburgh has opened its doors to the corporate hospitality and incentive market. Just 25 minutes drive from the Scottish capital, Gosford House was built for the seventh Earl of Wemyss in 1800. It has a marble hall with a double staircase leading to a picture gallery that can host up to 300 people for a reception.

Its dining room seats up to 120 guests for gala dinners. There are a number of balconies able to host several hundred people and they can serve as viewpoints to watch firework displays or Scottish Pipe Bands in the gardens. The estate comprises 5,000 acres of wood and farmland and the mansion has views of Edinburgh Castle, Arthur’s seat and the North Sea. It is available for exclusive use for product launches, photo shoots, films and large-scale outdoor events, including Highland Games team-building events. Clients have the opportunity to use Gosford’s golf club, Craigielaw, just 5 minutes away.
