Scone Palace by Perth has opened the new Murray Suite as a corporate hospitality facility. It comprises the Tullibardine and Balvaird rooms, with views across the Estate, the parklands and the River Tay. The rooms can be hired singly or together as a year-round venue.
Located only two miles from Perth, the Palace originally housed the Stone of Destiny as it was the crowning site of the Kings of Scotland.
The Tullibardine can seat up to 50 theatre-style. It has a restored open fireplace and is decorated in tones of gold and furnished with antiques. The Balvaird, seating up to 75 theatre-style, features décor in rich hues of gold and red, Zoffany fabrics, antique bronze chandeliers and portraits by renowned artists, including Raeburn.
Clients using the Murray Suite can also take advantage of the Palace Staterooms, whilst the parklands are available for team-building and sporting activities.
Catering can be supplied by MacGillivrays Culinary Solutions, a new company set up by Chef Kevin MacGillivray, who was Scottish Chef of the Year for 2006. He specialises in menus based on seasonal produce from selected suppliers.
