Jo Till, whom many in the industry will remember from her time at Forte and then Le Meridien, has set up a sales representation company, along with co-director Kate Norris. Based near London and called Ellicis Hotels, the new company will specialise in representation on the UK MICE market for international 4- and 5-star hotels. 'Hotels', says Jo, 'will have all the benefits of a UK sales and marketing office run by someone highly experienced in this valuable niche market, driving sales proactively, but at a fraction of the cost of setting up and running their own office.'
Jo goes on: 'Ellicis Hotels can maximise coverage of the UK's diverse customer base from corporate transient spend to groups, conferences, incentives and even high end leisure. We aim to become part of the team, extending reach through the development of new relationships, enhancing existing ones, accompanying targeted familiarisation visits and aligning our activities with a partner hotel's sales and marketing strategy.'
Founding member hotels include new openings, the Chateau St Just Hotel & Conference Centre near Paris and La Mola Hotel and Conference Centre on the outskirts of Barcelona. Other hotel clients are the Californian Resort, Parker Palm Springs and a haven of urban style in the heart of New York's Mid-town, Le Parker Meridien, on West 57th Street.
