New spaces for successful Barbican

Anthony Hyde

Barbican, the City of London's conference and cultural centre and the biggest facility of its kind in Europe, has been able to celebrate its best-ever year, with a 16% increase in revenue. Its statistics also show that the Barbican Hall, capable of seating 2,000 delegates, had enjoyed 83% occupancy.
An attractive new space is becoming available this summer. It is a lakeside area to be managed by in-house caterers Searcy's. It overlooks the medieval church of St. Giles and provides an outdoor dining and reception area for conference and corporate hospitality clients in the heart of the City.
Barbican Head of Corporate Sales, Anthony Hyde, comments:'Last year's financial results were a credit to the team but this year is already proving more exciting.  The Centre is developing at an incredible pace, with new opportunities for both clients and staff.'
