Silversea introduces a luxury expedition cruise ship

With the Prince of Monaco himself present, the expedition ship called Prince Albert II has officially joined the Silversea fleet at a naming ceremony in Monte Carlo's Harbour.
Manfredi Lefebvre, Chairman of Silversea, said: 'This marks a new era in expedition cruising - one that will offer authentic and respectful adventures from a base of easy-going luxury'.
After undergoing a multi-million-dollar renovation, Price Albert II now claims the largest accommodation of any expedition ship. There are 20 premium suites with 350 to 675 sqft of living space, double private French balconies or large private verandas. Additional amenities include butler service. In total there are 66 accommodations, all with marble bathrooms and bathtubs.

Prince Albert II sets sail from London on the 12th June on a season of voyages from 10 to 22 days. Sailing first to the Arctic Circle, Svalbard, Iceland and Greenland for the summer, the ship will then reposition to South America and Antarctica for autumn and winter trips.
