Sopwell House set to reach new heights in the corporate travel market after impressive 2013 makeover

The refurbishments include updates to the Reception area, Cocktail Lounge, Terrace Bar and
30 of the hotel’s 129 bedrooms. The bedroom renovations pave the way for two new room
categories at the property; an Executive Suite with Balcony and the Executive Bedroom,
allowing delegates to relax in the lap of luxury. Facilities in these rooms include new marble
bathrooms, king size beds, boutique design and LCD TVs with SKY HD.
The final piece of the refurbishment puzzle comes in the form of the newly revamped meeting facilities. The property’s four small function suites, which are made for intimate boardroom-style meetings and functions have all been kitted out with a contemporary yet sophisticated décor, new carpets, furniture and equipment including huge 80” LED TVs.
The hotel’s St Albans location is less than an hour from Central London and within easy reach of rail, air and road links making it widely accessible to a range of businesses.
With the final renovation touches set for completion in early September Sopwell House is set to have all the ingredients for a luxury away day or conference. Offering delegates a comfortable, upmarket setting to get those creative juices flowing, and thanks to the leisure updates in the F&B areas, luxurious new rooms and spa, (which has also undertaken an extensive £1.2 million renovation), the hotel now boasts the perfect recipe for a business break with a side helping of lavish relaxation.
