Corporate events taking off at DoubleTree by Hilton Newcastle International Airport hotel
Corporate events are taking off at one of the UK’s newest hotels, with packages attracting both national and international business guests. The DoubleTree by Hilton Newcastle International Airport hotel, located just yards from the airport terminal, was specifically designed to cater for the needs of business people across the North East, as well as those staying overnight or travelling in from overseas.
Since opening its doors in December the £3m venue has played host to a wide range of events, from one-on-one meetings to large scale dinners and presentations, welcoming clients from sectors such as pharmaceuticals, aviation, education and sport.
This month the DoubleTree by Hilton Newcastle International Airport hotel, which also offers easy access to the Metro train line and A1 road network, is launching two new corporate packages, each tailored to meet the needs of its regional, national and international clientele.
The day delegate package, designed for companies based nearby and those making a flying visit to the North East, is priced from £32 per person and includes room hire, a two-course lunch, two servings of tea and coffee with light snacks, delegate stationary and use of a flipchart with pad and pens.
All of these elements are also included in the new 24-hour day delegate package, priced from £129, with the addition of overnight accommodation in one of the hotel’s 179 contemporary en-suite bedrooms - each boasting a flat panel TV, soundproof windows, complimentary high speed internet access and luxurious Sweet Dreams® beds - plus a full English breakfast and three course dinner in the hotel’s Fratello’s Italian restaurant.
Both packages are available with any of the hotel’s five, air-conditioned meeting rooms, all equipped with hi-tech AV equipment and connectivity features for between 12 and 20 guests, as well as with the hotel’s large function room – the Polo Suite - which can accommodate between 40 and 150 people for corporate gatherings such as seminars and conferences.
All business visitors also have access to the DoubleTree by Hilton International Airport’s 24-hour business centre, offering complimentary internet access and printing facilities, as well as free onsite car parking, with additional parking packages available for extended stays.
Anyone who books a corporate event within 21 days of their initial enquiry will also have the opportunity to choose two complimentary add-ons for their event, such as a welcome drinks reception, a room upgrade for the organiser or free delegate places, with a free Kindle e-reader currently on offer for every meeting worth more than £1,500, which is booked before October 31 2012.
