Jurys Inn NewscastleGateshead Quays set to open in August
‘Exceptional Everyday City Centre Hotels’ Jurys Inn is delighted to announce the launch of their second hotel in the city, Jurys Inn NewcastleGateshead Quays which will open on August 25th 2011. Headed up by General Manager David Malanaphy, the 203 bedroom, four storey new hotel will be situated in the heart of energetic Gateshead on Gateshead Quays and will boast a fantastic riverside location with views of the Tyne, an outdoor terrace and riverside bar and restaurant.The eagerly anticipated arrival of Jurys Inn NewcastleGateshead Quays will make Jurys Inn the largest hotel provider in the city centre. Jurys Inn NewcastleGateshead Quays will join its sister hotel across the river, Jurys Inn Newcastle, a 274 room hotel opened in 2003. The new hotel will create a stronger Jurys Inn presence in the North in response to consumer demand for high quality city centre hotels, offering great service and value with a warm welcome whether you are travelling for business or leisure.
Jurys Inn plan to create up to 80 local jobs through the new opening. Applicants can apply for a variety of roles at the Recruitment Fair to be held at Jurys Inn Newcastle on Saturday June 11th between 10am and 3pm.
Situated right next to the BALTIC Centre for Contemporary Art and just a five-minute cab journey from Newcastle bus and train station, Jurys Inn NewcastleGateshead Quays is just a couple of minutes walk from popular tourist attractions the Gateshead Millennium Bridge and International music event and conference venue, The Sage Gateshead, offering something for hotel guests and local residents alike.
The new hotel will focus on providing the highest level of service and offering an award-winning welcome, in keeping with the rest of the Jurys Inn Group. The NewcastleGateshead Quays management team are working closely with Newcastle and Gateshead Councils, NewcastleGateshead Initiative and 1NG, to ensure the hotel is an integral part of the tourism and regeneration programme – aimed at attracting a wider audience to the Newcastle and Gateshead areas.
