UK's Greenest Apart-Hotel opens it's doors in Leeds
An exciting alternative for business accommodation in Yorkshire launches this month as the UK's most sustainable Apart-Hotel opens its doors, entering the corporate hospitality industry from an angle of reducing business travellers' carbon footprint whilst providing an individual and inspiring space to stay.Citu, the team of sustainable developers behind the pioneering building, has now created a series of 1, 2 and 3 bed luxury sustainable apartments that can be rented from 1 night up to 1 month for business travel.
Citu hopes to draw international attention to Leeds and give business travellers the opportunity to experience the pioneering technologies and sustainable ethos of the building that sets it apart from other 'eco' builds.
The Apart-Hotel offers sustainable qualities and luxuries, including innovative energy saving appliances alongside contemporary high-end sustainable furnishings.
On arrival guests are welcomed with a hamper bursting with local and organic produce, including fruit and vegetables grown within Greenhouse’s own allotments. Guests are also offered a tour of the facilities en route to their apartment, where they can get the lowdown on how recycled rain-harvested water flushes the loos, solar panels power the showers and how the rooftop wind turbines power the lifts.
Home to the UK's most sustainable office space, Greenhouse is fast becoming a dynamic business hub in the city, offering so much more than the average business accommodation.
The building has developed a strong sense of community amongst the permanent residents and office tenants and in testament to that, the Apart-Hotel is run by husband and wife team, Greenhouse residents Tom and Kati Lancaster, who are committed to providing the highest levels of customer service to ensure all guests experience a sustainable home from home.
Managers Tom and Kati state that they are on hand as much or as little’ as guests need them, providing guests with their mobile number offering 24/7 support, they are committed to the highest levels of customer service.
Tom said: “We're really excited to open the doors to the UK's greenest Apart-Hotel and allow business travellers from across the world to experience a truly sustainable lifestyle. Leeds is one of the North's major financial cities, with great rail and air links and we aim to provide accommodation with outstanding customer service, ensuring our guests are treated to an experience unlike any other in the city. It is an inspiring alternative from large hotel chains and we look forward to sharing the Greenhouse ethos with a new audience.”
During their stay, guests can see for themselves how they are contributing towards a more sustainable way of living via Internet Protocol TVs in each apartment tracking their energy usage. 100% British wool carpets and water efficient rainhead showers are just some of the facilities that provide luxury within Greenhouse’s sustainable ethos.
Full kitchen facilities with A or A* rated appliances, room service, an on-site deli providing fresh local food and groceries, free high-speed internet access, free parking and 24 hour access, makes the Greenhouse Apart-Hotel a luxury home from home, and the on-site gym and free bike club integrates guests into the full Greenhouse sustainable experience.
Just 10 minutes walk into Leeds city centre, with great links to the motorway, the Apart-Hotel, situated in Beeston, provides full details of public transport into town and live train times via each television making travel hassle free, whilst once again paying added attention to the environment by reducing carbon emissions.
Citu Director Fraser Stride said: “For individuals and businesses looking to embrace an environmentally responsible lifestyle Greenhouse is perfect, but even for guests where the sustainability elements are not a priority we still feel they will enjoy their experience, as a change from their regular business accommodation”.
