Holiday Inn Sandton, Rivonia Road introduces new conferencing facilities
8 June 2011 marks the much-anticipated launch of the Holiday Inn Sandton, Rivonia Road’s brand new conferencing facilities. The hotel’s newest resource will boast flexible configuration capacities, as well as state-of-the-art décor and breathtaking panoramic views of Johannesburg and surrounds.The Cullinan Suite, named after the largest gem-quality diamond ever found, is a combination of three brand new conferencing rooms - Cullinan 1, 2 and 3 - and can be adapted into cinema, school room and cabaret style configurations, capable of hosting up to 240 guests at any given time.
Cullinan 1 is the room nearest to the famous Skye Bar, and can accommodate 20 people (boardroom style), 94 (cinema style) 45 (school room, 25 (U shape), and 60 (cabaret).
Cullinan 2, the middle room, can accommodate 20 people (boardroom style), 72 (cinema style) 35 (school room), 25 (U shape) and 48 (cabaret)
Cullinan 3 sits at the end of the floor and can accommodate 20 people (Boardroom style), 72 people (cinema style), 35 (school room), 25 (U shaped) and 48 (cabaret)
Each conference room at the Holiday Inn Sandton is fully equipped with audiovisual functionality and individually controlled air-conditioning, and makes use of natural light in addition to other light sources. Tea and coffee facilities are easily accessible from the facility, and meals are served by the hotel’s dedicated banqueting department, housed in the ground floor’s Lettuce and Lime restaurant. Two sets of elevators, located on either side of the floor, also make access to other areas of the hotel quick and easy.
The opulent Skye Bar is located nearby on the same floor, and is the perfect place to unwind and enjoy a cocktail after a successful day’s conference, and is sure to leave guests feeling on top of the world.
The newly developed conferencing facilities will operate alongside the hotel’s existing seven conference rooms, located on the 1st floor.
