Wide variety of facilities
Yes, Twickenham Stadium can seat 82,000 people. And there are 156 private boxes for match hospitality that can be used on non-match days. But it also has 19 conference suites that can divide into a total of 26 meeting and banqueting rooms. Totalling 7,000 sqm, they come in all types of size and décor to suit the character of the event being held. There are, of course, the spaces such as the President’ Suite, the Council Room and the Members’ Lounge that provide the mature, cultured ambiance; then there is the all-singing, all-dancing Live Room, fitted with retractable tiered seats and every kind of state-of-the-art audio-visual systems. It can seat 500 theatre style or 300 for a banquet. There are self-contained special-purpose conference suites such as The Shakespeare, the Elgar and the 800-capacity Rose Room, with each being able to sub-divide according to requirements.

Unusual venues
And don’t forget the Twickenham Cellar that can accommodate 14 guests for a meal surrounded by bottles of vintage champagne. Equally unusual as a venue are the players’ changing rooms, decorated with the plaques bearing the red rose emblem and naming the famous names of current members of the England rugby team.
The rugby pitch can come into play, too, as summer barbecues can be hosted on the Astro Turf adjoining it. As many as 400 guests can be entertained there.

Quality catering
Twickenham Experience is a joint venture between the RFU, England’s governing body for the sport that owns the stadium, and the Compass Group, England’s leading catering specialists. A subsidiary, Payne & Gunter, provides the catering services at Twickenham and has access to as many as 17 modern kitchens on the premises.

With a minimum of clicks it can guide visitors round the stadium facilities or take them straight to the event space most suited to their needs. It also enables clients to make immediate contact with the sales team for details of quotes and availability.
