The Czech Republic’s capital, Prague, is one of the most attractive cities in Europe and a growing favourite amongst event organisers. However, even though it is a small country, the Czech Republic has a wide choice of destinations to suit all kinds of corporate gatherings and excursions: from long established spa resorts to modern conference and exhibition centres. The cities and the hinterland are dotted with fairy-tale castles and romantic country houses.
Capacities vary from intimate rooms with a well-matured atmosphere to modern convention centres that can accommodate 5,000 delegates – even 9,000.
The country is at the very heart of Europe with good connections by air, rail and road. As many as 58 airlines offer services to the Czech Republic, able to fly delegates direct from over 100 sources. And it offers organisers a stable, safe and calm environment.
Because of its popularity, the Czech Republic can offer an array of very experienced PCOs and DMCs who have been tried and tested by the world’s top companies.

Organisers are also pleased to discover how economical it is to locate an event in the Czech Republic, where value for money is one of its main benefits.
Hoteliers, both international chains and locally owned companies, are making a major contribution to the success of the destination. They have greatly increased the stock of high quality rooms and venues and have invested widely in upgrading established properties to reach the high standards demanded by today’s top enterprises.
The Czech Republic is a very suitable destination for conferences with a leisure or spouse programme or for pure incentives. Prague alone can keep a group totally engrossed for days within a very small area. At least once in their lives everyone should see the legendary Charles Bridge, St Vitus’s Cathedral, the Prague Castle ( which is the largest castle complex in the world) and the view down to the Vltava River; hundreds of spires, the ancient astronomical clock at the Old Town Square and, of course, Wenceslas Square.
Then there are the fascinating cities of Plzen, Ceske Budejovice, Brno and Marianské Lazne (Marienbad). None is so very far from the other, so that organisers can choose to spend a lot of time in one or two places or to arrange an excursion that strings several together like pearls on a single itinerary.
Getting the details you need to make a decision on the Czech Republic as a corporate destination is simple. In the UK there is a Czech Tourism office in Harley Street, headed by Jan Mlcak, who is always ready to provide full information and help with introductions to people in his country who can work with you.
