The Wide is the word in Brussels

The Wide Gallery is simple to describe. It is 2,000sqm of uncluttered, totally white space. However, to prove that beauty is in the eye of the beholder, the Wide Gallery website www.widegallery.be has 33 images that show how this space has been interpreted by leading design agencies for blue-chip clients.

A picture is as good as a thousand words, so here are 33,000-words-worth of pictures to admire. They range over a L’Oreal product launch and the Brussels Tourism & Events Awards, to a Volkswagen function by Engage BBDO and a PWC Christmas Party.

In total, depending on the configurations, the ground floor can accommodate 2,680 guests. The first floor, by arrangement, can cater for a further 2,000.

Built in 1902 in art deco style and used as the HQ for Diamant Boart, the diamond tools manufacturer, it has recently been established as the Wide Gallery for events.

It offers 5m-high ceilings, large windows and a total of 750 parking spaces, of which 150 are beneath the building.

For product launches, there is access for vehicles directly from the street.
